HID, a provider of identification, authentication, verification, and real-time location-tracking technologies, acquired GuardRFID, a provider of real-time location and assets tracking hardware and software solutions for healthcare providers.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As part of the acquisition, HID will merge GuardRFID into its identification technologies business unit, expanding its presence in the North American healthcare market.

In another deal, Premier Inc, a provider of healthcare supply chain and analytics solutions, acquired Medpricer, a provider of supply chain management software to healthcare providers and hospitals, for $35 million.
