Science 37, a provider of an operating system for conducting decentralized and hybrid clinical trials, announced the acquisition of life sciences business unit of Vault Health, a provider of remote diagnostics and testing services.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Science 37 said the acquisition would help further enhance the clinical trial workflow orchestration and data interoperability capabilities of its decentralized clinical trial platform.
Commenting on the acquisition news, David Coman, Chief Executive Officer of Science 37, said: “We are fortunate to be able to acquire such a valuable asset today to advance many of our high-priority development plans for the future.”
“From a technology standpoint, the Vault Health life science platform has a parallel technology architecture making it reasonably simple to integrate and, from a delivery perspective, this acquisition will have an efficiency impact as early as the second half of 2023,” added David Coman.

More recently, Johnson & Johnson, a healthcare company, agreed to acquire Abiomed, a provider of a connected remote heart healthcare delivery system, for approximately $16.6 billion. In another deal, BioIntelliSense, a provider of remote health monitoring and clinical intelligence solutions, acquired AlertWatch for an undisclosed amount. AlertWatch is a provider of remote patient monitoring solutions for operating rooms, intensive care units, and labor and delivery units.
