System C Healthcare, a provider of a healthcare data integration platform for hospitals and care providers, announced the strategic acquisition of Clevermed, a provider of maternity and neonatal patient record management software.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
This acquisition will help System C Healthcare to broaden its product portfolio, enhancing the company’s maternity offering, and supporting its goal to deliver integrated digital solutions that span the entire patient journey from prenatal services to end of life care.
Commenting on the acquisition news, System C Healthcare Chief Executive, Nick Wilson, said: “Clevermed leads the market in maternity and neonatal solutions and has a long track record of collaboration with clinicians across the NHS. Its highly evolved clinical products are held in the very best regard by users, and we are delighted that they have joined System C.”
To date, more than 150+ patient medical record management software companies have been acquired, according to our M&A database. More recently, Constellation Software, a software company, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, N. Harris Computer Corporation, announced the acquisition of EHR solutions of Allscripts for $700 million. In another deal, Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman announced the acquisition of athenahealth, a provider of electronic health records and medical practice management software, for $17 billion from Veritas Capital and Evergreen Coast Capital.
